AOA and Trusted Contact

May 12, 2025

Happy Sunday and Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow moms- I hope you got extra hugs today!

I hate to interrupt a special day, but this is a quick housekeeping email with some happenings around Hayes Wealth Advisors.

AOA Meet Up

If you're going to AOA, we are hosting a very special cocktail hour... at a practice! Tim and Stephanie's practice Art of Optics, which is a gorgeous high end optical practice just outside of Minneapolis. Definitely worth the trip if you're in town... RSVP below!

BRAGGING ON FRIEND- check out this new fill in doc matchmaking site!

My friend Laura Rosenberg, OD has been banging her head against the wall for years about how hard it is to find fill in docs, and she has spent the last few years trying to fix the problem.

OD PRN is a matching making service for practices and fill in docs. It's in start up phase (so don't get discouraged if you dont' see a doc in your area right away) but growing... and right now it's free! Click the image to get redirected to the site... I hope it helps your practice!

Tariff Replay

Although it's still very uncertain where tariffs will land, I've had a lot of requests for the video replay of the call I did with the Power Practice a few weeks ago and by popular demand, here it is! Click the picture to get to the video.

Although it's been a few weeks, there isn't much clarity beyond what I shared here.

Updated ADV & Privacy Policy

Every year we update our annual legal disclosures and privacy policy to stay in line with our current firm size, industry best practices and communicate any changes in our growing business. Our updated documents are below and the most notable change is our colleague Alexis Gonzalez is officially a firm advisor!

Trusted Contacts

We've started to reach out to some of you about adding a Trusted Contact with us, and I wanted to explain what that is so that if you're interested we can send you a form even if you're not in the age group we're proactively reaching out to.

A trusted contact is someone we can reach out to if we ever can't reach you or have concerns about something that is going on. There are two types of trusted contact- one for us and one for Schwab.

Our trusted contact form allows us to reach out to a person you designate with concerns about a situation. This form does not allow that person to trade funds, move money, make any kind of financial decision on your behalf. We have been/will be sending this out to all clients in a "more mature" :-) age bracket. For younger clients we are happy to send this to you as well on request.

Schwab also has trusted contact form that allows the designated person to call them and ask questions about your account. You can pick whether they can initiate transactions, etc. If you would like to add someone to your Schwab trusted contacts please let us know and we'll help initiate that process.

Our trusted contact form is below if you'd like to review!

One Last Note

You may (or may not) be aware that Hayes Wealth Advisors mostly paused on taking new clients over the past year or so. With our increased capacity and Alexis' broader role, we are back in business! If you have any friends you think would benefit from our planning process please feel free to send them our way!

I am sending this from vacation and may be harder to reach than normal this week but the team is around! Please feel free to reach out to any of us with questions or anything you may need.

Investments have varying degrees of risk. Some of the risks involved with equity securities include the possibility that the value of the stocks may fluctuate in response to events specific to the companies or markets, as well as economic, political or social events in the U.S. or abroad. Bonds are subject to interest rate, inflation and credit risks. Treasury bills are less volatile than longer-term fixed income securities and are guaranteed as to timely payment of principal and interest by the U.S. government. Investments in foreign securities (including ADRs) involve special risks, including foreign currency risk and the possibility of substantial volatility due to adverse political, economic or other developments. These risks are magnified for investments made in emerging markets. Investments in a certain industry or sector may pose additional risk due to lack of diversification and sector concentration.
