How To Review Your Corporate Tax Returns

May 23, 2023

Tax season is in full swing!

If you're like me you've spent the past few weeks gathering information for your CPA who is likely working 80+ hours per week these days. One thing I do for all my clients is review their return before filing just to make sure there are no major errors. Tax returns are incredibly important to the IRS when means they are important to you as well, and it's important to understand where major discrepancies occur.

Back in the fall I borrowed my CPA friend JR Armstrong with May and Company to record a video on how to review corporate tax returns. JR works with practice owners across the US with tax prep and consulting and graciously put together this video to teach you how to review your own returns for accuracy.

We hope you have a chance to grab a cup of coffee (or something stronger- this isn't exactly a fun topic), your draft returns and year end financial statements and take 25 minutes to make sure your returns are well drafted for 2022.

Please excuse the technical difficulties around minute 22- my internet conveniently went out. We hope you enjoy!

I'm also pleased to announce we will be hosting a live webinar teaching practice owners how to review their corporate insurance policies to make sure they are protecting.

For this event I've enlisted the help of Chris Fix with Alliance Insurance Services. Chris places commercial and personal property and casualty insurance nationwide. He is uniquely knowledgeable about optometric practices as his wife is a practice owner in their home state of North Carolina.

But wait, there's more!.... next week be on the lookout for a follow up video on how to review personal tax returns if you are ahead of the game this tax season.

As always we're happy to answer any questions you may have. Have a wonderful last week of February!
